Club News
The diving season is now here, with our first club dive on the 01st April. It might still be a little cold for some, but it can only get warmer!!
Jo Merrick, who has contributed to the club enormously over the years as training officer, instructor, and try-dive coordinator and lots more besides, has decided to step down as Training Officer due to preg-nancy. Len Sumner has been chosen to take over from Jo. We would like to thank Jo for all her hard work!
April Big Tuesday – AGM - This year many committee positions are being voted for, so if you want to have a say its very impor-tant that you attend!

IDEST Bulletin - January 2007
‘At a recent symposia held at Luxfer, there was a unanimous vote for all centres to undertake a full service of the cylinder valve at each inspection/test.
From the date of the above bulletin all centers are now required to carry out a full service of the cylinder valve at each 2.5 years in-spection/test, following BS.EN14189.
The cost of the valve inspection is in addition to standard testing costs.’
(Essentially this means that people having visual tests will need to cough up about £10-£15 extra for a valve service. People who have O2 servicing aren't really affected as they already pay for this servicing as part of the O2 clean.)
